• Low calorific value
• Used as fuel in large industrial furnaces
• Exothermic Reaction:
2C + O2 + 3.73 N2 → 2CO+ 3.73 N2
• In UK it is known as suction gas and in USA it is known as wood gas,
town gas, syngas

i) Spark plug
