Map: is the representation of the whole or a part of
the Earth surface, on a flat surface.

Parallels and meridians are imaginary lines that cross the Earth
surface and form a grid. That grid allows us to locate any point on
the Earth.

representations of a three dimensional object in a flat
surface.
