What is Minerals?
Minerals

Minerals are
nutrients needed by the
human body to support
the process of growing
and developing in small
amounts.
Function of Minerals

1. Help and protect the health of muscles, heart and nerves.

2. Regulate osmotic pressure on the body.
3. Produces various types of enzymes.
4. As a catalyst in various biochemical processes that occur in the body.
5. Helps in making antibodies.
6. Protect the balance of water and acid base in the blood.
7. As an activator that plays a role in enzymes and hormones.
8. Protect bone health.
9. Protect brain function.
10. Role in the process of cell building.
11. Transports oxygen to all bodies.
Type of Minerals

1. Type Minerals by Dose :

Ultratrace
Major Minerals Trace Minerals

MINERALS NEEDED
BY THE BODY
1. Calcium

Milk Tofu Cheese

Calcium is a mineral that
is very important and also
very needed by the human
body. Calcium serves to
assist the formation of
bones and teeth and is
needed for the process of
blood clotting, nerve cell
signal transmission and
muscle contraction. Nuts Green
Vegetable
2. Magnesium

Magnesium plays an
important role as a cofactor
for various enzymes in the
body. Magnesium acts as a
catalyst in biological
reactions in the body.
Including reactions related
to energy metabolism,
carbohydrates, fats,
proteins and nucleic acids.
Banana Avocado
3. Phosphorus

Meat
Egg

This is a very important mineral found in every

single cell. Phosphorus is a key component of the
structure that underlies DNA and also helps form cell
membranes that control what can and cannot enter
individual cells.
4. Zinc (Zn)

Essential elements in good food (plants, animals

and humans). Required for making genetic substances
in cells and for biological reproduction. Required in
DNA and RNA synthesis.

Shrimp Almond

Sesame Mushroom
5. Iron

Nuts
Is a trace element that is
needed in producing hemoglobin,
a component of red blood cells
which will carry oxygen
throughout the body. People who
are deficient in iron will easily
feel tired, because their bodies
lack oxygen. Iron is a part of
myoglobin that functions to help
Meat store oxygen in muscles.
6. Iodine

Egg
This iodine mineral is
very important for the
body because its main
function is to form
thyroxine hormone where
this hormone is a
controller of various bodily
activities and controls
one's growth.
Meat
7. Pottasium

Tomato

Banana
Potato

Potassium is an important mineral that helps

regulate heart function, blood pressure and nerves and
muscle activity. Potassium is also needed for
carbohydrate and protein metabolism and helps
maintain the right pH in the body.
