Assessment
Self- assessment Exercises are
activities that one does repeatedly to
achieve goal: to improve one’s own
fitness level. They consist of exercises
that improves one’s endurance,
strength and flexibility.
Locomotor refers to body movements
that move the body from one place to
another. They cause the body to travel.

5.Jumping
Nonlocomotor movements are also
sometimes called axial movements. They
are movements of certain body parts, or
even the whole body, without causing the
body to travel.

PHYSICAL FITNESS is the body’s ability to
function effectively and efficiently without
excessive fatigue in work, leisure activities, to
meet emergency situations and to resist
diseases from inactive life.
PHYSICAL FITNESS TEST refers to
the assessment of the fitness level of
an individual conducted twice a year;
in the beginning and at the end of the
school year.

Body Composition
is used to describe the percentages of fat,
bone, water and muscle in human bodies. 

Example: Body Mass Index BMI is a


measurement tool that can indicate whether you are
underweight or overweight for your height.
FORMULA for BMI COMPUTATION CLASSIFICATION OF BMI

BMI = weight (kg) Underweight ˂ 18.5


Height (m)2 Normal 18.5 - 24.9
Example: Overweight 25.0 – 29.9
BMI= 68kg Obesity ˃ 30.0
(1.65) Extreme Obesity ˃40.0
= 24.98 (normal)

Endurance
• is the level at which your
heart, lungs, and muscles
work together when you’re
exercising for an extended
period of time.
