BULK MODULUS OF
ELASTICITY
13. Determine the bulk modulus of elasticity of a fluid which compressed in a cylinder from a volume of 0.009
m^3 at 70 N/cm^2 pressure to a volume of 0.0085 m^3 at 270 N/cm^2 pressure.
BULK MODULUS OF
ELASTICITY
14. The capillary rise in the glass tube used for measuring water level is not to exceed 0.5mm. Determine the
minimum size, given that the surface tension for water in contact with air = 0.7112 N/m.
BULK MODULUS OF ELASTICITY
15. A plate with surface area of 0.4 m^2 and weight of 500N slides down on an inclined plane at 30° to the
horizontal at constant speed of 4m/s. If the inclined is lubricated with oil of viscosity of dynamic viscosity 2
poise. Find the thickness of lubricant film.
