The document introduces the SED single board used in SDH networks. It discusses the hardware and software versions used for network management based on whether the board is used with an electrical or optical interface board. It also covers the main interfaces for network management configuration and concepts like creating UNI/NNI ports and configuring MF service properties.

yasini@argtelecom.com Overview of SED Single Board
• SED single board is used in S330 and S325.The
term “SED Single Board” usually refers to the SED main processing board. It can work with an electrical interface board EIFEx6 or an optical interface board OIS1x6. From top to bottom, there are 2 FE optical ports (no.7 and no.8) and 2 GE optical-electrical combo ports (no.9 and no.10) on the front panel of SED main processing board. • If the SED processing board is to be working with an electrical interface board, the hardware/software version for network management should be assigned with 2320 and there will be 6 FE electrical ports and 2 GE optical-electrical combo ports at the subscriber side. • . If the SED processing board is to be working with an optical interface board, the hardware/software version for network management should be assigned with 1320 and there will be 8 FE optical ports and 2 GE optical-electrical combo ports at the subscriber side. • If the SED processing board is not working with any interface board, the hardware/software version for network management should be assigned with 1310 and there will be 2 FE electrical ports and 2 GE optical-electrical combo ports at the subscriber side. The “Hardware version” and “Software version” must be assigned with the same version number. • A SEC single board has 16 BCG (EOS) ports, supporting an aggregation ratio of 16:1 and providing a system bandwidth of up to 8 AUG. • All service slots (service slot 1#-16# and 11#-16#) in S330 can be configured to support SED single board. As different slots on the backplane have different bus bandwidths, the SED single boards at different slots support different backplane capacities. The backplane capacities of the slots are listed bellow: • Slots 1#, 2#, 15#, 16#, backplane capacity being 2 VC4; • Slots 3#, 4#, 13#, 14#, backplane capacity being 4 VC4; • Slots 5#, 6#, 11#, 12#, backplane capacity being 8 VC4. • Note: • Because the SED board is based on ZXMP S330 V1.4 system, it can only work with CSB cross-connection board in S330 (not CSA cross-connection board). Main Software Entrance to Network Management Configuration and Basic Concepts
• The data configuration of new single boards will be performed on 5
interfaces whose t • itles are indicated by red frames The access to the interfaces of Ethernet Adapter Manager and VCG Port Capacity Config can also be gained by right-clicking the icon of the single board (similar to traditional single boards). • For traditional single board, it is not advisable under most circumstances to set a data rate limit which is an optional setting. For a new single board, setting the data rate limit is mandatory; otherwise the service data will be discarded. The user must pay attention to this point. VCG Port Capacity Config
• It is used for binding time slots of ports, setting
encapsulation type and enabling LCAS, etc • The single boards supports granularities of VC12, VC3 and VC4, supports GFP-F encapsulation only, supports virtual cascading modes of bidirectional LCAS, unidirectional LCAS and non-LCAS, and supports active/inactive VCG members. At present, a SEC single board can only configured with 1 non- LCAS VC4 while SED and SEE have no such limitation. VCG Port Capacity Config CE-VLAN ID List Property Config
• By clicking Add, the user can add segmented CE-VLAN
tags or Untagged tags in a batch. The CE-VLAN tags or Untagged labels can coexist in the same list. The Untagged tag means “without tag”. The system will forward the untagged service packets and discard the tagged packets. The number of CE-VLAN segments that can be configured in a list (1 VLAN ID corresponds to 1 list) is smaller than or equal to 32 i.e. the number of segments in the list separated by “,” must not be greater than 32). Each list contains multiple and repeatable (e.g. 1-4094) CE-VLANs. CE-VLAN ID List Property Config Creating UNI/NNI Port Creating UNI/NNI Port
• UNI/NNI Bundling: There are two options in the
dropdown list . • All to One Bundling means that the port can only be used for one service steam exclusively. This mode of bundling is applicable to EPL, EPLAN and EPTREE services. • CE-VLAN Bundling means that the port should be used as a part of CE-VLAN. One UNI/NNI port can be included in different CE-VLANs and shared by multiple service streams. This type of bundling is applicable to EVPL, EVPLAN and EVPTREE services. MFDFr Service Property Config
• It directly decides the type of service being
configured. MFDFr Service Property Config MFDFr Service Property Config
• Traffic type: It can be selected from the
dropdown list . • E-line is a point-to-point service, including EPL and EVPL flow domain types. • E-LAN is a switching service, including EPLAN and EVPLAN flow domain types. • E-Tree is a tree-type service, including EPTREE and EVPTREE flow domain types. CE-VLAN ID Keep: Checking the check box means keeping; otherwise means not keeping.
• In the Keep mode,
– the VLAN tag cannot be added, modified or deleted and remains unchanged during the process of UNI/NNI port forwarding, therefore the CE-VLAN lists of the ports in the flow domain must be identical. Whether or not the service streams passing through UNI/NNI port carry the VLAN tag, they must be consistent with the configured CE-VLAN list; otherwise the service data will be discarded. • In the Not Keep mode, – the VLAN tag can be modified, added and deleted (untagged services support, untagged service keeping and adding VID; tagged service support, VID keeping, stripping and modifying) during the process of port forwarding in the flow domain, therefore the CE-VLAN ID lists can be different for the ports in the flow domain. پیاده سازی سرویس اترنت روی
