Expressing Wants/Desires
Desire is a sense of longing for a person or object or hoping for an outcome. When a
person desires something or someone, their sense of longing is excited by the
enjoyment or the thought of the item or person, and they want to take actions to
obtain their goal.
The differences between desire , wish , hope
Desire : Desire is a sense of longing for a person or object or hoping for an
outcome. When a person desires something or someone, their sense of longing is
excited by the enjoyment or the thought of the item or person, and they want to
take actions to obtain their goal.
Wish : A wish is a hope or desire for something.
Hope : Hope is the emotional state which promotes the belief in a positive
outcome related to events and circumstances in one's life. In the English language
the word can be used as either a noun or a verb, although hope as a concept has a
similar meaning in either use.
