• Scrap-Trap is an automated waste segregation system that

employs cutting edge technologies.
• Equipped with two intake bin for dumping wastes.
• Fixed with a hydraulic platform which can raise the compartment
and incline to pour.
• The chain drive belt to transport the waste to segregation
compartment.
• Segregation into three types viz. dry, wet & metallic solids.
• Different sensors will detect the type of waste.
• Hand picked by a robotic arm to transfer.
• Transferred into respective compartments.

1. Ultrasonic sensor placed at the top of bins or waste collectors.

3. When the bin is full ultrasonic sensor gives interrupt and the bin
tilts 120 degree and garbage is poured onto conveyor belt.
4. Just behind the arm there are 3 sensors for segregating waste into
dry, wet and metallic using ,moisture sensors and inductive
proximity sensors respectively .
