Expresiones de acuerdo y
desacuerdo.
AGREEMENT AND DISAGREEMENT:
• The way people agree or disagree in an argument or discussion varies
in different languages.
AGREEMENT:
• It is worthwhile saying that silence is not understood as agreement. If
you agree with an opinion or an idea, you are expected to say so.
EXPRESSIONS USED TO AGREE
• There is no doubt about it that... ( no cabe duda de que..)

• I completely / absolutely agree with you. (estoy completamente/absolutamente de

acuerdo contigo)

• I agree with you entirely. (estoy deacuerdo contigo enteramente)

• I totally agree with you. ( estoy totalmente deacuerdo contigo)

• I simply must agree with that. ( simplemente debo estar de acuerdo con eso)

• I am of the same opinion. (Soy de la misma opinion)

• That’s exactly what I think. ( Es exactamente lo que pienso)

DISAGREEMENT:
• Expressing disagreement is always respected as honest, and
sometimes as courageous.
EXPRESSIONS USED TO DISAGREE:
• I don't agree with you. (no estoy deacuerdo contigo)
• I’m sorry, but I disagree. ( lo siento, pero estoy en desacuerdo)
• I'm afraid, I can't agree with you. ( me temo que no puedo estar de acuerdo contigo)
• The problem is that... ( el problema es que…)
• I (very much) doubt whether... ( dudo (mucho) si…)
• This is in complete contradiction to... (esto esta en complete contradicción con…)
• With all due respect,… (con todo el debido respeto,…)
• I am of a different opinion because ... (yo soy d euna opinion diferente porque…)
• I cannot share this / that / the view. ( No puedo compartir esto )
• I cannot agree with this idea. (no puedo estar de acuerdo con esta idea)
• What I object to is... ( a lo que me opongo es… )
• I have my own thoughts about that. ( tengo mis propios pensamientos sobre eso)
