Once there was a grasshopper living in the

fields. He loved hopping about, chirping and

singing that everyone could hear him.

One summer day he was sitting on a rock,

singing so loudly that everyone in the field
could hear him. At this moment a group of ants
walked by, grunting under the kernels of corn
they where carrying.
Surprised at what they
where doing the grasshopper
got off his rock and asked

"Where are you going with

those heavy things?"
"We are collecting and storing food for the
winter.“
Not interested the grasshopper answered him:

"Come and have some fun and sing with me.

Working so hard just isn't that much fun.“

"We are preparing for the winter when food

is very scarce to find. I think you should do
the same."
"Winter is far way, we have
nothing to fear about." said the
grasshopper bravely.
But little did he know
that winter is just around
the corner.
Winter came and covered all the
food under the snow that not even
the grasshopper could dig to find
the food.

He was starving and with his pride
