Theory in Question:
Jenga pieces: We think the car will knock over the most
Jenga pieces and that the ping pong ball and the marble
will only tap the first piece.
Dominos: We think the car will knock over the most
Domino pieces since the Ping Pong ball is very light and
the marble is so small.
Materials:
Step 1: Build the track Step 2: Set up the pieces Step 3: Test the objects Step 4: Repeat
• Cut the bottle to fit the funnel and • Place the contraption on a chair • Drop the first object down the • Repeat steps 2 and 3 for all the
the track • Stack the pieces at the end of the funnel objects.
• Use the glue gun to attach the track (25 each) • Record the amount of pieces • Once you test the objects
bottle to the can and the funnel knocked over
• Attach the track to the bottle using Jenga pieces move on to
Dominos.
Results:
25
most Dominos and the car knocked
over the most Jenga pieces.

Conclusion:
Initially, we believed that the car would knock over most of both the Jenga pieces
and the Dominos. This was because not only is the car the heaviest item but
because it had wheels. We found that when it came to the Dominos these factors
did not come into play. It was difficult to get the car to stay on track since it was
larger than the other objects. When it came to the Jenga pieces the car was able to
knock over all the pieces proving my hypothesis at least partially right. It brings up
another question; what type of track would be most effective to knock over all the
pieces?
