 SKILL A:
SEQUENCING
This focuses on sequencing which enables the reader
to retell a story, follow instruction, and most importantly
organize a material previously read.
In this skill, the learner will be guided on the sequence
of evets of a story, a biography, an incident, a police
report, a diary, or a news story.

This enables the students to retell a story previously
read, narrate an incident happened a while ago, and most
importantly comprehend and organize the previously read
text. Besides, this skill also aids them in problem-solving
across discipline for it assists comprehension in
Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Literature, English,
Practical Arts, Physical Education, and Home Economics.

Structure vocabulary for sequencing are adverbs such
as:

First, second, third, fourth, and so on, then, next,

when, recently, subsequently after, before, previously,
afterwards, and finally.
