Content of Ideas
• Why do you think people dress the way they are and why they
act to that youth subcultures? (for example why do you think a
gangster dresses in all black and does bad things.)
Segment 2: intro – I will be telling the audience what youth subcultures are and what I am going to show in the
documentary that I will be making.
Segment 3: I will get a interview with a policeman to ask them if they mainly focus on the certain youth subcultures that
are intimidating or by the way they are dressed.
Segment 4: rhetorical question to see explain what the policeman told me and to keep the audience thinking. (question
asked: so what would happen if we did not have youth subcultures?)
Segment 5: I will then add something to make it more interesting and entertaining for the targeted audience (I will do this
by making it humorous by dressing up differently and walk around a area and see how people react to me, this will show
if people are intimidated about the way people are dressed “I will film this shot by showing what I am wearing and then I
will use a point of view shot to put the audince in first person”)
Segment 6: I will then get two peoples opinions and see how they feel about the way people are dressed and the way
people react to them to show both sides of the documentary.
Segment 7: I will then conclude my documentary and tell the audince what I had found and I will give them advice on
what people think of the way they are dressed and the way people react to the way they are dressed.
Segment 8: I will then do a sign off with clips of little shots from my work that I had filmed.

The market
Gok Wan
• This relates to my TV show because it relate to fashion and my topic focuses about the way people dress.
• I will also relate to my programme because it is humours and the targeted audience I am focusing on watch the programme
quite often.
• My documentary will be different because I will be showing how people react to the they are dressed. It will also compete to a
more niche audience because it is for a younger audience and it has a slight twist to the programme were as Gok Wan is about
fashion only.
Trinny & Susannah
• This also relates to my production because they focus on fashion and I am focusing on fashion changes the way people act and
react to other people.
• The presenters are also funny and I aim to be funny in my product so it draws the viewers in to the production more.
• My programme will be different to Trinny & Susannah because I will be showing how the way people dress change the way
they act were as Trinny and Susannah give tips on how to look younger and to have a more suitable look for people. It will also
be targeted to a more niche audience because I will be focusing on how it changes the way they act when dressed differently.
Ten years younger
• This relates to my production because they focus on how to look younger by using make up this relates to my product because
I it relates to fashion and how to look younger.
• The presenter is also good at using make up because she is looks young when she it quite old now. The presenter is uses a
formal language this is so it will relate to an older audience.
• My program will be different to the ten years younger because I will be using formal language and informal language this is so
that it can relate to the targeted audience which is gaged 16 – 24 year olds. I will also be targeted to a more niche audience
because I will be using people who are with in the age of 16-24 this is so it will meet the bbcs remit. I will also be focusing on
how fashion changes the way people react to other people and how they act to people.
Commercial viability
The budget
• my production will cost me about 4,000 to make this is because I will
need a lot of equipment for the pre- production, production and the post
production. Most of the money will be mainly spent on the following;
• d-v camera, which costs £240 for three days.
• Back up permits, which cost £600 for thee days.
• The cast, which cost £300 for two people.
• Final cut pro, costs £816 for the software.
• Actor and presenter, which cost £600 for both of them.
This will change people views because it will give them an understanding
of why people dress the way they do and why.
Commercial viability
My product will also meet the bbc remit because I will be entertaining them with music which will
relate to my targeted audience.
I will inform them by giving them information about youth subcultures and it will answer people react
differently to the way the individual is dressed. I will do this by getting experts like police officers and
security guard react to people depending to the way they are dressed.
I will be educate the targeted audience by showing them tips that they can use so they do not get
people reacting negatively. To them I will do this by showing examples on clips that they can watch this
is so that they watch and learn how to do things differently.
My program will go on TV at 9.00pm after snog, marry, avoid and just before eastenders this is because
it will keep the viewers because the age range of the shows are mainly aged 16 – 24 and it will roll from
snog, marry, avoid into my documentary which will be about youth subcultures talking about fashion
and then into eastenders.
Here is an screen shot off the schedules that will be in the on at the same time as the documentary and
how it will roll into the next show.
I have highlighted were documentary will go in yellow and I have highlighted how my show will roll
into the next show in red as you can see in the screen shot below.
