As per the case study, Apple has low or moderate issues or possible potential threat from
Supplier, Substitution or from new entrants in the industry.
• ‘cause apple has production plant internationally and the numerous no. of supplier are
available to apple
• Innovative edge gives advantage to apple and the fact that IOS is a closed ended platform
only legit apps are available on App store in comparison to play store which is open
platform.
• New entrant which can affect the apple sales is moderate as OnePlus is one of the example
of such new entrant which can affected apple
The two parameters which are strong force of threat to the firm are competition and
bargaining power of customers:
• The sale of iPhone 8 were low as comparison to other iPhone due the design similarity of
the previous product (iPhone 7) . In case of apple the expectations of public are very high
and any upset affect their sale let the customer to check for other Brand.
• Apple Music put an end Sony’s Walkman after the launch. But now there are many other
music platform such as Amazon’s Music. Apple think of launching there Music platform for
other operating system also and Netflix is way ahead of apple movie online platform.
• The Google android is an operating system which is in competition to Apple’s IOS.
• Apple’s diversified portfolio helps the firm a lot. Apple have products ranging from TVs,
Watches, PCs, Laptop, Ear Phones
• The legacy of Steve Jobs is also an asset for Apple
