BY : NURUL NADIAH
ARISSA AZILA
2(b) “In Asian culture, the responsibility of
caring for elderly parents tends to fall on the
shoulders of the children and their extended
family.” (Line 6)

How would you care for your elderly parents

in the future? Discuss with relevant
examples.
 Take turn with the other siblings to take care of the elderly parents.
-Caring for an ageing parents alone is complicated since it is a huge responsibility for us as a child.
Therefore, when our brothers and sisters are involved it can reduce the burden on our shoulders to
take care of them as a team.

 Give financial support.

-It is an important thing to help them in term of financial support because they cannot work to support
their life anymore. We can help them by giving monthly expenses to buy their needs such as
medicines, clothes and supplements.

 Spend quality time with the elderly parents.

-As we are busy working, we should also realized that our parents are getting old. Hence, we must
make sure that we spend enough quality time with them as much as we can. This is because, as they
aged they tend to be sensitive even on the simplest thing.
One of the ways that we can do is by taking turn with the other siblings to take
care of the elderly parents. For an example, caring for an ageing parents alone is
complicated since it is a huge responsibility for us as a child. Therefore, when our
brothers and sisters are involved it can reduce the burden on our shoulders to
take care of them as a team.
Secondly, we can give financial support to the elderly. It is an important thing
to help them in term of financial support because they cannot work to support their
life anymore. We can help them by giving monthly expenses to buy their needs
such as medicines, clothes and supplements. Hence, financial support is essential
for their well-being.
Last but not least, spend quality time with the elderly parents. As we are busy
working, we should also realized that our parents are getting old. Hence, we must
make sure that we spend enough quality time with them as much as we can. This
is because, as they aged they tend to be sensitive even on the simplest thing.
Thus, spending quality time with parents can be more meaningful than just giving
them money.

QUESTION 3(A)
• I do agree with this statement because it is good if the parents taught
them to keep a budget as the teenager will learn how to use money
wisely since our country is going through economy recession. Besides,
it will give benefits if teenagers are trained to plan menus, shop for
food, prepare meals, serve the community so that they will be
respected by the society. All parents want the best for their children,
so the teenagers should keep in mind that living in adult lives can train
them for their future.
“In education, teenagers are
expected to excel in their
studies”(line 10).
Discuss the challenges faced
by the students due to the high
expectation. [10 marks]
Firstly, the teenager's biggest challenge is preparing for their future. Students are
stressed about their grades since parents expect them to enter college after they finish
school, so that they can get a good job in the future. However, not everyone has the
capability to do well in school and enter college. Thus, students become stressed out due
to the high expectation of their parents.
Other than that they will also develop internal conflict within themselves as they are too
afraid of not being able to achieve their parents hopes and wishes. As a result, when they
do not excel in their studies, they might end up getting depressed that can lead them to
become a rebellious teenager or even commit suicide. Hence, parents should give space
for their children to make their own decision.
Last but not least, there are many parents that force their children to study in the field
that they are not interested in. They want their children to be doctors or engineers which
their children might not be keen. This will make them lose interest in their studies and
cannot perform well. They can become frustrated and may give up their studies. This will
be a waste for their talents and potentials. If only they were given the freedom to choose
what they want to do, they would have a brighter future.

• Spending time with family is one of the ways to cope with stress.
Spending time with your family gives you a cushion to everyday stress
and allows you to release stress by having an engaging and heart-
connecting conversation. When a person feels close to his/her family ,
he/she realizes that they have a proper support system and this can
substantially decrease their risk of stress-related diseases. For
example, spending time with parents reduces a key stress hormone
and also injects oxytocin into the brain, which is a chemical that makes
you feel good. Sharing problems with your family can reduce your
burden. Hence, whether you are spending time with your kids for their
benefits or spending time with your own parents to give yourself an
uplift. Family cure your stress.
The Importance of Recycling
By: Paul Smith.
Nowadays, increasing wealth means that people are buying more
products that will lead to ultimately creating waste. Despite new
packaging and technological products are being developed, much of
these products contain materials that are not biodegradable such as
fast food packaging that will create additional waste. Hence, recycling
is one of the best ways for you to have a positive impact on the world in
which we love. We must act as fast as the amount of waste we create
through recycling because it is really important for both the natural
environment and us.
We have always heard of reduce, reuse and recycle. However, how many
of us who really understand about what does recycling means? Recycling is
a key component of modern waste reduction and is the third component of
the Reduce, Reuse, Recycle waste hierarchy. It refers to the process of
converting waste into new reusable materials and objects. It is an alternative
to dispose conventional waste that can save material and help lower
greenhouse gas emmisions. Most of the time, it takes less energy to recycle
trash than to throw it away. Recycling is important to both the natural
environment and us. We must act fast as the amount of waste we create is
increasing all the time. Thus, this shows the importance of recycling.
There are several materials that can be recycled which are
plastic bottles, paper, cardboard, food and drink cans, trays,
tabs, food and beverages cartons, and aluminium foils. Although
recycling has been going on for the past few years, recycling
efforts need to be increased considering the amount of waste
disposed of every day. As we can see there are many different
materials that can be recycled.
One of the importance is to save the nature. This is because habitat destruction
and global warming are some the affects caused by deforestation. Recycling reduces
the need for raw materials so that the rainforests can be preserved. As we all know,
the earth need the forests to lead to a clean environment, rich and fertile soils, and
enriching the aesthetic value of the planet. By recycling, we reduce the need to
destroy habitats for animals. Paper recycling alone saves millions of trees, whatmore
when we recycle other things? The animals would not lose their home, same goes to
the plants. In fact, trees are our natural assets and we can converse trees by recycling
the paper products. We can minimize the number of trees cut down a year. This is one
form of waste recycling. One should understand and know the importance of recycling
waste materials which saves the nature.
In conclusion, we need to have the awareness about
our environment. We all can make the difference
towards the better future of our environment. A solution
had been found, so all we need is to take an action
which is recycling because it is very important for both
the nature and us.
Intro
• Living in this era of technology provides one with a very modern
feel of gaming and sport experience not only in real life but also
virtually. Nowadays, one can even play sports such as
badminton, soccer, rugby and more just by using the computer.
Nevertheless, abusing this advantage can lead to negative
effects towards the user, particularly on youths and can cause
problems. Thus, we strongly agree that virtual games have
serious effects on youths.
paragraph 2
• First, one of the negative effects of playing virtual games towards youth is
aggressiveness. Youths who play virtual games are increasingly exposed
to growing physical and sexual violence present in all media. Video games
such as 'Grand Thief Auto' and 'Call of Duty' for over 18 years, are training
them to shoot and kill in virtual world in which the value of life are lost. The
violent content on these media may cause childhood aggression. If youths
continuously play and watch these kind of games, they may become
familiar with violence and brutality. In future , they will not take good
behaviour as an important value in life. As a result, virtual games may
cause youths to be aggressive and boorish.
paragraph 3
• Furthermore, virtual games also cause youths to have attention problem.
A study shows that high speed media content can contribute to attention
deficit disorder, as well as decreased concentration and memory. Youths
that play virtual games for more than two hours daily were 67% more likely
to develop attention problems. This is a serious issue because youths
need to stay focus in classes if they want to score well in tests and
examinations. Attention problems that starts with playing virtual games can
cause students to fail in tests. Attention problem is a huge consequence
caused by playing virtual games and youths should realize how serious the
issue is.
Paragraph 4
Apart from that, virtual games can have negative effects over
physical health. Youths that plays too much virtual games ended
up getting fat and lazy because they do not exercise everyday.
They also tend to skip meals, sleep late and eat junk foods when
playing games. In addition, their eyesight is damaged overtime
due to prolong exposure of the computer screen. All of this can
lead to health issues such as blindness, cardiovascular diseases,
Obesity and many more. Thus, we can say that virtual games
have serious effect on youth.
Conclusion
• In conclusion, virtual games definitely have serious effect on
youth. Nowadays, the negative effect that most youths tend to
develop due to playing virtual games is causing more concern
day by day. Although the effects may vary, negative effects such
as aggresiveness, loss of attention and health problem is not
uncommon among youths who play virtual games. In short, a
nation's future depends on youths. If we want to have a good
future for our nations, playing virtual games among youths must
be controlled.

ponders about that word, it is something that is
learnt since the beginning of our life. Without it, we
will be nothing but an empty shell. In other words, a
life without meaning! We need knowledge to help us
in our daily life, especially the young generation.
Reading will increase their knowledge which will
give them a better perspective of life.
Apart from that, reading will also improve our
command of language especially in grammar and
vocabulary. By spending at least half an hour a day
in reading, one can learn various types of writings
and new vocabulary. With all of these, students will
definitely improve their language and able to
perform better in examinations. This is because
they can understand well in whatever that they are
learning and able to express their ideas. Hence
reading definitely helps students to improve their
language proficiency and excel in their studies.
Furthermore, reading helps one keep track of
global current issues, invention and innovation
around the world. For instance, those who love
entertainment, the latest news about K-Pop songs
and artists which can keep them up to date and at
the same time brighten up their days. Other than
that knowing latest news could increase general
knowledge that can be useful for students in writing
essays. Therefore, keeping track of current issues
