A noun is defined as the same that is given
to any person, place or thing or an idea.
Eg: 1)The sun shines brightly.
2)The Jasmine smells sweet.

PROPER
A proper noun is the name
given toNOUN
a particular person
or a place. A proper noun
always begins with capital
letter.
Eg- Maria lives in the United
States of America.
COMMON NOUN
A common noun is a name given in common to
every person or thing of the class or kind.
Common nouns are not written in capital letters.
Eg- India is a country.

Abstract noun
An abstract noun is a word that is used to indicate an idea,
activity, a quality or a state which is considered separate
from the object to which it releases.
Action- Hatred, laughter etc.
Quality- Honesty, goodness etc.
State- Death, poverty etc.
Material Noun
Material noun are name of substances of
which things are made.
Eg- I bought a gold ring.
Collective Noun
A collective noun is the name that is given to a
group/number of persons or things in collection.
Eg- A staff of employees, a troupe of dancers.
Countable Noun
Countable noun are for things we can count using
numbers. They have a singular and a plural form.
Eg- There are two books in my bag.
Uncountable noun
Uncountable nouns are used with a singular verb.
They usually do not have a plural form.
Eg- There’s some milk in the fridge.
A singular noun names one person or one thing and a plural names
more than one thing or person.
Eg- 1)It is a very tall tree.
2)The boys are playing in the ground.
