What is NGV?

 Stands For Natural Gas for Vehicles.

 Used As Fuel For Vehicles In Some

Countries For More Than 50 Years.

 More Than 7 Million Vehicles Worldwide Using NGV As

Fuel.

 Same As Natural Gas Supplied To Power Stations,

Industries, Commercial Establishments And Households.

 Compressed And Stored At 3000 Psig Onboard Vehicles.

Also Known As Compressed Natural Gas (CNG).

Program
(1986-1988) Program
(1995-present)
(1991-1994)

• Incorporation of PETRONAS NGV Sdn. Bhd. on 14 February 1995 to

spearhead promotion and development of NGV in Malaysia
• May 2006, directive from the government for PETRONAS to build 200
NGV stations nationwide by 2008.
• As a result, NGV business was transferred to PDB effective from 1st July
2006.
Directive From The Government

The government has requested for PETRONAS to build 200 NGV stations
nationwide by 2008

Implications

• Double the initial plan of having a total of 100 NGV stations by FY07/08

• Leveraging on existing PSS to expedite the implementation subject to

readiness of existing PSS

• Limited gas pipeline coverage will resort to mother/daughter concept (higher

investment and impact on ROI)

• Limited space at PSS will resort to building more standalone stations that
require the acquisition of new land (time and cost factors to be considered)

NGV naik 13 sen seliter

KUALA LUMPUR 1 Dis.

katanya.

Petronas, menerusi anak syarikat Petronas NGV Sdn.

- Bernama
PETRONAS Tarik Balik Kenaikan Harga

KUALA LUMPUR,(BERNAMA) 2 Dis.

Petronas NGV supaya menangguhkan keputusan menaikkan harga runcit NGV.

Petronas.
Utusan Malaysia, 10 October 2005:
Syarikat Minyak Tidak Minat Buka Stesen

PARLIMEN, KUALA LUMPUR 10 Okt.
