A Chosen Generation (people)…

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you
so that you might go and bear fruit--fruit that will last--and
so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give
you.
John 15:16

For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy
and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us to be
adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with
his pleasure and will—to the praise of his glorious grace, which
he has freely given us in the One he loves’

A Royal Priesthood…

For it is declared: "You are a priest forever, in the order of

Melchizedek.“
Heb. 7:17

The Levitical priesthood reminded us of our sin and reminded us

that perfect fellowship between God and mankind didn’t exist.
(Heb. 10:1-4)

“For when there is a change of the priesthood, there must also be

a change of the law”
Hebrews 7:12 

“For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened
by the sinful nature, God did by sending his own Son in the
likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering. And so he condemned
sin in sinful man, in order that the righteous requirements of the
law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the
sinful nature but according to the Spirit”

A Royal Priesthood…

Holiness – freed from sin.

Righteousness – by fulfilling the requirements of

the law (done by Jesus)

Matt. 6:33, we are to seek His kingdom and

righteousness.
A Holy Nation…

I will proclaim the LORD’s decree: He said to me, “You

are my son; today I have become your father. 8Ask me, and
I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the
earth your possession.

A Special People…

For thus says the Lord of hosts, “After glory He has sent
me against the nations which plunder you, for he who
touches you, touches the apple of His eye.
