Canada

and Global
Warming
Canada is the 10th
country on the list that
contribute’s the most to
greenhouse gas emission
Observed changes in Canada
Longer growing season
More heat waves and fewer cold spells
Thawing permafrost
Earlier river ice break-up
Increase in precipitation over large parts of
Canada, more snowfall in northwest Arctic
Earlier spring runoff
Earlier budding of trees
Indigenous people of the Arctic are no longer
able to predict the weather as their forefathers
did (Society for Ecological Restoration).
Canadian Temperature Trends -
1948 to 2012
The purpose of this slide is to show what is causing climate
change. In particular, this slide depicts long-term greenhouse gas
(GHG) records, which show a rapid increase since the Industrial
Age. This depicts increases in Carbon dioxide (CO2), with the
explanation that these increases are due primarily to fossil fuel
use in Canada, with additional contribution from land use
change.
HUMAN ACTIVTIES IN CANADA CAUSING GLOBAL WARMING
People burn fossil fuels and convert land
from forests to agriculture. Since the
beginning of the Industrial Revolution,
people have burned more and more fossil
fuels and changed vast areas of land from
forests to farmland.
Burning fossil fuels produces carbon
dioxide, a greenhouse gas. It is called a
greenhouse gas because it produces a
“greenhouse effect”. The greenhouse
effect makes the earth warmer, just as a
greenhouse is warmer than its
surroundings.
HOW CAN CANADA REDUCE ITS CONTRIBUTION IN
GREENHOUSE GAS EMISION?

As it is known that Canada contributes 1.63% in the green

house gas and that is a huge amount according to Global carbon
emission society and so therefore human activities contributing
to global warming should immediately stop.
Here are my views:-
Citizens of Canada should:-
They should primarily stop the burning of fossil fuels which is
the major activity over there
Along with it minimal use of A.C’s can also reduce to some
extent.

This isMaking projections about future climate requires

projections of future greenhouse gas concentrations or
emissions.
