Test of Written English
• One topic

• Familiarity with English language essay structure
• Familiarity with English grammar and spelling
Listening Comprehension
• 50 questions
• 30-40 minutes to listen, read and answer

• short conversations between two speakers (questions 1-30)
• longer conversations (questions 31-38)
• short talks (questions 39-50)

LC section tests
• Ability to understand English as it is spoken in North America
• Vocabulary, idiomatic expressions
• Special grammatical constructions (e.g. two- and three-part verbs)
