Dry Gas Reservoir:
• The word Dry Gas refers to gas comprising mainly of
methane and some intermediate hydrocarbon
molecule weight due to this compostion dry gas
never under goes phase change.No liquid is formed
either in reservoir or in production fascilities. This is
due to path of depletion is outside of phase
envolope.
Dry Gas Reservoir With Water Influx:

• Water influx in dry gas reservoir are from aquifer which are non
volumetric reservoirs.Encouraging water provides pressure support to
reservoir for production depeding on rate on encouragment.
• Recovery rate of non-volumetric are often lower than volumetric one's
because in non volumetric gas is bypassed and trapped by water.
Volumetric Method For Gas Reserve Calculation:

• Volumetric method is used to find volume of reserve in reservoir at any time during
production.

• Above equation is used to find initial gas in place by volumetric method. where,
• G= Gas in place, SCF
• Vb= Bulk volume, acre-ft

• Swi= Water Saturation
• Bgi= Gas Formation Volume Factor
