RESULT AND DISCUSSION
•We took a survey of 259 people who reside in Mumbai to know about what kind of impact
does Covid-19 has on the FMCG products in Mumbai.

•It was observed that with the announcement of lockdown in Mumbai people started to buy
goods in bulk due to the fear of necessary goods running out of stock.

•It was also observed that during lockdown people in Mumbai spent more on the FMCG
products than usual.

•Majority of the Mumbaikars were of the opinion that the current production of the FMCG
5
products is not enough to sustain the gigantic population of India.
CONCLUSION
We concluded that during the lockdown the FMCG sector as well as the consumers have faced a
lot of challenges. Hence a there can be a few changes that can be implemented which are as
follows:-

•The FMCG suppliers should reduce product variety at this point of time and focus on the vital
products that are needed by every household.

•The FMCG product manufacturers should revise their plans and allocate manpower to the highly
demanded products.

•The FMCG manufacturers should also anticipate the future increase in demand of certain
products and hence should buy raw materials accordingly .

•From
6
the consumer point of view it is necessary that the consumers buy products in a
reasonable manner
