The document discusses the repair and maintenance of gas turbine engines. It outlines three types of inspections for a Frame-9E gas turbine: 1) Combustion Chamber Inspection every 12,000 hours of operation or 450 starts, 2) Hot Gas Path Inspection every 24,000 hours or 900 starts, and 3) Major Inspection every 48,000 hours or 2,400 starts. Factors like fuel quality, load setting, and water injection can influence the inspection intervals. The inspections require replacement of various engine parts like nozzles, buckets, and seals. Spare parts may also require repair or refurbishment before being reused.

9E) may be classified as follows: Sl. No Type of Inspection Operation Hr/ NO. of Start
1. Combustion Chamber 12000/450
Inspection (CI)
2 Hot Gas Path Inspection 24000/900
(HGPI)
3. Major Inspection (MI) 48000/2400
Influence on Inspection Interval Factors that can influence on Inspection Interval are as follows: Fuel quality. Trips from Load. Load Setting. Start Cycle. Water/steam injection. Hardwire Design. Peak Load Operation. Combustion Chamber Inspection (CI) For Frame-9E Machine CI is recommended after 12000hrs of operation with Maxm 450 nos of start. Capital spares for CI are listed as follows: 1. Cap Liner. 2. Primary Fuel Nozzle. 3. Secondary Fuel Nozzle. 4. Transition piece. 5. Cross Over Pipe. Comment If the Gas-Turbine is in operation with: • Fuel Gas. • Only Base Load Operation. • No steam or water injection. • Not trips from load. • Normal Load setting. HRSG Interval shall be determined on the basis among 1200 nos of Start and 24000hrs of operation which ever occur first. Hot Gas Path Inspection(HGPI) For Frame-9E Machine HGPI is recommended after 24000hrs of Operation with Maxm 900 nos of start. Capital Spares for HGPI are as follows: 1. CI Capital Spare. 2. 1st ,2nd & 3rd Stage Nozzles. 3. 1st ,2nd & 3rd Stage Buckets. 4. 1st ,2nd & 3rd Stage Shrouds. Major Inspection For Frame-9E machine Major Inspection(MI) is recommended after 48000hrs of Operation with Maxm 2400 Nos of Start. Capital spares for Major Inspection are as follows: 1. CI Capital Spare. 2. HGPI Capital Spare. 3. Journal & Seal Surface of Bearing. Spares Repair & Replacement Life Time of 1 Stage Nozzle st Repair or Refurbishment of spare Capital Spares require repair or refurbishment for reusing. Following scope of works belong to such repair or refurbishment: Cleaning. Minor crack repair. Recoating. Removal of plug in cooling hole of Buckets. Replacement of burner holding clips. Replacement of any other damaged spare. Testing of equilibrium air-flow in burners of primary fuel nozzle. Thanks
