BACKGROUND OF METHDOLOGY
THE STUDY
Institutions like Don Bosco Technical College produces huge
amounts of biodegradable organic wastes which contributes to
pollution outside the campus and goes to landfills and alike.
Biodegradable waste which is decomposed inappropriately
contributes in producing greenhouse gases. Proper waste segregation
is also a concern that needs to be attended. To address the issues in
poor waste management, Smart collection, composting and
biodigestion techniques will be used. IoT based monitoring and
control system will be used to aid the system. The wireless
monitoring technique that will be used transfers and processes data
through the internet and then transmitted to personal computers or
mobile phones.STATEMENT OF THE
PROBLEM
This study intends to develop a system for collecting,
composting and bio-digestion of biodegradable organic waste
in the campus or households using wireless monitoring and
control system.
OBJECTIVE
S
-Design, build and commission a collection, composting and
biodigestion system for biodegradable organic waste.
-Determine the socio-economic impact of using the system. Conceptual
-Determine the environmental of using the system. Framework

SIGNIFICANCE OF
THE STUDY
-Promote collection and composting biodegradable organic
wastes as a means to generate income.
-Encourage individuals/institutions to have a positive
behavioural change towards solid waste management.
-Contributes in reducing generation of waste in the campus and
household.
SCOPE AND
DELIMITATIONS
System prototype will be designed for Don Bosco Technical
College campus use.
-System Prototype will consist of the following:
