Introduction/Analysis
The development in technology has contributed to the
creation of new distribution channels. Marketing channels
need to be one that focuses on making goods or services
easily accessible to the consumer. Most company wishes
to target as many potential customers as possible.
Marketing channels should be designed to make products
and services conveniently available to customers, how,
when and where they want them. One of the ways is
through mobile channel. According to Aders (n.d.),
organizations need to understand how to participate in and
be found via mobile channels. Using digital marketing is
very popular today because it increases product awareness
and helps generate a buzz among potential customers.
Conclusion
Aside from giving high-quality products and services,
maximizing the use of digital technology is the easiest
and fastest way to create market awareness. Simple
customers can track the whereabouts of the vendors by
going to Facebook, Twitter, etc. Through these ways, it
will maximize the use of electronic word of mouth.
Electronic word-of-mouth communication (eWOM) is
any positive or negative statement made by potential,
actual or former customers about a product or company
which is made available to multiples of people and/or
institutions and is spread over the internet (Cheung et
al, 2010).
Recommendations
Specifically, a business may consider the following action plan:
The business may offer discounts for the customers who were
brought to the store by following its website or social media
account;
Make sure to create a website with a menu (preferably with
pictures of food) that links to the location on Google maps as
well as a telephone number where customers can reach the
business
Publish your operating hours on the website and on social
media to let customers know when they can enjoy the product;
and,
To generate regular custom, the business may have promotions
from time to time such as a free side with the purchase of a
main, or a free drink and so forth.
