• Hence – a stage of Nothingness

• Without Guna – God?
• Guna – Uncomprehensible for man
• Man – in, by, around, of, Gunas
• Nirguna – Incomprehensible Guna
• The real, unchanging, never ending Guna

• Above all qualifications

• Words make it wrong
• Hence

• Nirguna

NIRGUNA
• Not without Guna
• But with Gunas that transcend human mind
• Above human reason, intelligence
• Beyond the reach of Human mind and speech
• When all Gunas of the world disappears
• Appears the Nirguna
• Death all Gunas disappears

• Sankara –
• In life can liberate ourselves from gunas
• JeevanMuktha – Liberated
• One with the Nirguna
• Yet remains for world

Isvara
• Practical Utility – Saguna, Isvara
• For Upasan and bhakti
• Once the nirguna is attained – Isvara disappears

• God is Nirguna – With Gunas that are beyond

• That are eternal, all knowing, omnipotent

• God is same yesterday, today and tomorrow

• We mortals – Hence God is Nirguna


• Devotion – Saguna
