What Impact has this research had on the
development of your ideas?
• All this research has made me think about how I want my Opening sequence to look. Using all this
information I would probably like to use a type of sequence which shows that the credits are part of the
film. I would probably also like to use a voiceover with text to make it feel like a diary account, tell us how
the characters feeling; its real, representing British social realism. Using maybe some elements of a
graphical sequence showing surrealism of the characters life’ making it exaggerate; a common feature
which most British films do. I would use music that represents the area, for example for an Urban area I
would use loud music to connote tension. I would also use music that is a bit upbeat during scenes of
surrealism to show the character escaping from life. I would also use swearing to represent the character
from an urban background; has no education. The character may also be shown as a shy terrified
character. The mise-en-scene will be very gritty, the characters will be wearing dull everyday clothes, no
make up, hair tied back or short; maybe even skinheads. The camera work will be mid shots of characters,
establishing shots of the location. I will also like to use panning and tracking, like the characters life is being
documented. I would maybe like to experiment with the editing by giving the audience more information
about the characters, for example in Scoot Pilgrim vs. the World. I would also like to use a low angle to
show the character going through depression and for example as in “Broken and Cyn” punching the screen
