    THE FLAG

    • Colors: The flag of New Zealand is a blue cloth with the flag of the United
    Kingdom in the canton and four red stars filleted in white
    • Meaning: It has four red stars, which means the constellation of the Southern
    Cross. In the wing, it has two national flags, one civil and the other one of war.
    They are practically the same as the national flag, varying only the color of the
    cloth; red in civil, with white stars, and white in war, with red stars.
    LOCATION

    • New Zealand is a long, narrow country of rugged terrain consisting of the North
    Island and the South Island (plus a small group of islands). It covers an area of
    268,838 km2 and 1,600 km in length. It is slightly longer than the United
    Kingdom. New Zealand is located in the South Pacific, approximately 10,400
    km southwest of South America and 2,250 km east of Australia.

    HANGI MAORÍ

    Hangi is a traditional Maori dish that is still commonly practiced throughout New Zealand. It is a
    process in which steam is used as a means of cooking food underground, in this recipe it does not
    make sense to give proportions by weight of the quantities since everything is thrown a little into the
    well.
     ASADO HOGGET

    The second of New Zealand's typical dishes is a roast made with oven-roasted lamb
    meat seasoned with herbs and accompanied by potato, squash, sweet potato and
    vegetables, as well as a delicious mint sauce.
    COLONIAL GOOSE

    Colonial Goose is the name of a New Zealand dish made with leg of lamb. It is surprising
    that the name of the dish in English is "Colonial Goose" despite the fact that no goose
    meat is involved as an ingredient. It is also very common to add squash.
