TFM: Trabajo Final de Máster/Master’s Final Project

Academic Research essay or paper to conclude the Master

(when all other subjects passed).

12 credits.

With the help of an advisor.

2 TFM TOPIC AND ADVISOR ALLOCATION

Application form: send on March the 26th 2020 and to fill in on April the 12th 2020.

TFM coordination area will allocate advisors by April the 20th 2020.

TFM coordination will send e-mails with the allocation and e-mail adresses.

Topic related to the Master’s contents, including IB.

May I change my topic? Yes, but with advisor’s agreement.

May I change my advisor? It depends on the context.

ASSESSMENT AND DEFENSE

Assessment
70% Advisor.
30% Defense Panel.

Defense
Advisors will allow students to defend their TFM.
Students will defend their TFM in front of a panel (3-4 Master’s teachers).
Explanation: 15 minutes.
Discussion with panel: 10 minutes.

Delivery
Ordinary defense. Deliver through METANET on 1st November 2020. Defense panel: 12th-13th November 2020.
Extraordinary defense. Deliver through METANET on 29th November 2020. Defense panel: 17th-18th December 2020.
*Students have to deliver two compulsory drafts throughout the process and it is highly recommended to deliver a
third draft a month before the deadline.

ASSESSMENT AND DEFENSE

Drafts Delivery
On June the 12th 2020, first draft to advisor: general idea, references and method.

On October the 13th 2020, second draft to advisor: developping main ideas and some sections.

In case students do not deliver both drafts, won’t be authorized to defend in ordinary session.

To defend in extraordinary, drafts have to be delivered during the following month to previous dates
(on July the 12th and November the 13th).

In addittion, students have to send a third draft to their advisor just some days before the final
delivery deadline so that advisor can give their final approval.

If not (any of the drafts), defense will not be authorized for this academic year.

Plataform to contact advisors, send drafts and receive feed-back.
Also, delivery of final version.
