Tailless Aircraft
Tailless Aircraft
TAILLESS AIRCRAFT
INTRODUCTION
1)Tailless aircraft refers to aircraft with no distinct
horizontal stabilizing surfaces in their tail section.
2) A tailless aircraft (often tail-less) has no other
horizontal surface besides its main wing.
3)The aerodynamic control and stabilization
functions in both pitch and roll are incorporated
into the main wing.
4)Theoretical advantages of the tailless
configuration include low parasitic drag and good
stealth characteristics.
