WRITING A SIMPLE REPORT

WHAT IS A REPORT?
REPORT IS a specific form of writing that is
organized around concisely identifying and
examining issues or events.

SOCIAL FUNCTION
To prepare the reports of events, by writing them
correctly using a specific form.

Report can be delivered verbally and also in the


term of written document.
PARTS OF THE REPORT
 1. TITLE
 is the name of the report. Example: “The report of
Industry Working Practices”
 2. INTRODUCTION
 It sets of the aims, terms and definition. Example: the aim
of this event is to develop the students’ skill and experiences.
 3. METHODOLOGY
 It states the methodology and research methods done by
the writer in doing the report. Example: observation or
interview
 4. FINDINGS
 It states the set of main findings. This part
should be clear. Tells about the events in details.
 5. CONCLUSIONS
 It is the summary of the report
 6. R ECOMMENDATIONS
 It states some suggestions about the event
