if read Thinking fast and slow, interested in behavioural economics – manageable

• Crossing Cultural Borders- (Prof Virginia Drummond) – Loved this course,
Interesting and real time experience of cultural differences (teammates Norwegian,
german, French, chinese), Moroccan) – 5 small MCQ and 1 big MCQ exam,
manageable if attended classes, (reading material is too lengthy, easy to recollect of
attended classes) – 80% attendance
• Web Marketing – (Prof Margherita Pagani)- 80% attendance , simulation game,
manage dynamics with group members, one presentation, one exam – study slides
for exam – Manageable if ready to study two days before exam
• Ecommerce and Etailing – (Prof Margharita Pagani) – One case presentation, one
project presenatation, one end exam. Every session, one guest lecture. End exam
MCQ requires reading, asked a few questions of guest lectures too, Manageable if
ready to study before exam and attended a few guest lectures – 80% attendance
• Integrated Marketing Communications – (Prof Alfred Siedel) – Very chill course,
No attendance, no Final exam – 2 presentation and one individual submission, -

• Campus is in Ecully: 8km away from the Lyon city Centre


• Get accommodation in Lyon and not Ecully
• €900 - €1500 per month for 4-5 people (Airbnb)

• University arranged acco is expensive (€500/month)

• Direct trains to CDG Paris Airport


• Very convenient location in terms of rail connectivity: 2hrs to Geneva,
close to Italy and South France; Just 2 hrs to Paris by train.

• Bus/Metro network in Lyon is very strong – student tickets are cheap

• Security: Safe in Lyon; Rare cases of mugging – Use a travel money


belt to carry around passport, money and cards safely

• Carry Ready-to-eat Upma/poha 1 serving breakfast packets, Rice,


Basic Masala (Red Chilly, Turmeric, Cumin, Garam Masala)
• Take Water bottle, tiffin box,Umbrella from India (costly to buy in Lyon)
• Carrefour – shop for basic groceries (Bread, milk, eggs, jams, cheese
etc)
• Pasta, Bottled sauces and olives are cheap and can prepare your
own meals – to save some money for eating out during travelling
• College Canteen has good fries /veg burger/ Baguette sandwiches
(max 5 euro per meal) , to save money to spend on travel, also you
can get bored of the same menu for 3 months, you can prepare meals
(Rice/Pasta/Sandwich) and carry in tiffin also.

• Must Try the Bakeries, they have a variety of pastries, Jams are super
cheap and tasty, Flavored yoghurts, Ice creams, Fresh berries and
fruits, cheese and desserts
