Air compressor classification and working principle

There are many kinds of air compressors, which can be divided into positive
displacement compressor and speed compressor according to the working
principle
The working principle of positive displacement compressor: the volume of
compressed gas increases the density of gas molecules in unit volume to
increase the pressure of compressed air;
The working principle of the speed compressor: increase the speed of the
gas molecules, so that the kinetic energy of the gas molecules into the gas
pressure energy, thereby increasing the pressure of compressed air.
Common air compressors: piston air compressors, screw air compressors
(twin screw and single screw), centrifugal air compressors, sliding vane air
compressors, scroll air compressors and so on.

Service condition of air compressor

There is a nearly 20 billion air compressor market in China every year, and over 4 million
air compressors are working. Air compressor is generally designed according to the maximum
load of the factory plus 10-20% allowance. In addition, the actual demand of the factory
fluctuates seasonally and temporally, which also leads to large fluctuation of gas
consumption. Therefore, most of the time the air compressor is not fully loaded and has a
large energy saving space. The power consumption of air compressor accounts for about 9%
of all industrial electrical equipment. Variable frequency air compressor has become the future
mainstream development direction.

ES Series Application Cases

The scheme adopts ES580 driver + asynchronous motor control, according

to the process characteristics of air compressor, select PID control mode.
Connection mode of main motor winding of air compressor is adopted;
pressure feedback adopts pressure sensor of 4~20mA; meanwhile, it is
recommended that users convert two redundant ac contactors into
frequency converter emergency stop control and fan cooling fan control
respectively to improve the safety and reliability of air compressor system
