PROJECT OBJECTIVE
• Through this project we intend to innovate an economical
system with pretty basic and cost effective components. And
also  to provide a system for farmers to decrease work load on
farmers and provide pollution free (Renewable) energy
resource.
• To take the full advantage of energy we are getting by using it
for a locusts repeller.
• To do the Economical cost Analysis of the system.
INTRODUCTION
• Solar-power can find application in many things . But we are
creating a Solar-powered irrigation system is an application of
solar-powered water pumping system used in paddy fields,
gardens for watering the plants, vegetables, etc.
• Since, there is recent attack of locusts which leads to spoiling of
the crops and effect the farmer's economy. So addition of
Locusts reppeler is done in the system to reduce the risk of
spoilage and let decrease the use of harmful chemical fertilizers.
Rewa Solar Power Plant
Prime Minister Narendra Modi
inaugurate Asia’s largest 750-
megawatt (MW) Rewa ultra-
mega solar power project in
Madhya Pradesh spread over
1590 hactare of area and
predicted to reduce electricity
cost more than 50%. It shows
the possibilities of
opportunities for innovation.
METHODOLOGY
• This project is mainly based on solar energy absorbed by the cells is then converted into
electrical energy via which then feeds an electric motor driving the pump, the sensors sense the
moisture level of soil and level of water which helps the controller to control the flow of water.
• The energy is stored in the Battery and this energy is supplied to the locusts repeller circuit. This
circuit works on the application of Voltage Multiplication using capaciotrs and transistors.

WORKING MODULE
The circuit consists of three main parts. The solar panel charges
the battery. The battery feeds the oscillator circuit, which converts
DC to AC. A transformer steps up the voltage, which is further
stepped up by a diode/capacitor ladder network. The final voltage,
which can range up to several hundred volts (2400 V for
example), is stored inside an output capacitor across the output
ends going to the metal mesh. The capacitor discharges when the
circuit is shorted by a locust bug.
COST ANALYSIS
This System will have 15 - 20 years warranty .
Components Requirement Cost
Poly-Crystalline PV PANEL 250 watts X 4 Rs.25000

1 HP Submersible Water 746 watts X 1 Rs.20000

Pump
Charge Controller Rs.10000
(Inverter Included)
Locusts Repeller Circuit Rs.8000

Battries 12 V battery X 1 Rs9000

Total Rs.72000
PERCENTAGE OF WORK COMPLETED
• 70-80 % of work is done.
• Hardware materials are there for lab model of the project.
• Cost analysis is going on .
• Searching for replacement if possible.
• Working on if there any changes can be done.
