How Does This Work?
● In order to get support, you need to be able to persuade people
● Some persuade by sticking to facts
○ “67% of Americans support this bill”
○ “This bill will give millions of dollars to animal shelters across the country”
● Others persuade by sticking to emotional/personal appeals
○ “All of the patriots in your district want this bill to pass”
○ “If you don’t support this bill, innocent puppies will be in trouble”
● A master persuader knows how to use facts AND emotional/personal appeal
● Using Google Forms, brainstorm and answer the following question:
○ How would you persuade your fellow representatives to pass your environmental bill?
