COLLABORATIVE ICT

DEVELOPMENT
Team structure and dynamics for ICT Content
So far, we have created blogs and website
that we can categorize as personal. But like the
many websites and blogs you visit everyday, you
see that some of them are produced by multiple
people.
THINK OF THE BLOG YOU HAVE PREVIOUSLY
CREATED. ASK YOURSELF THE FOLLOWING
QUESTIONS:

1. Who is the target audience of my blog?

2. Are the blog spots of good quality?
3. Is my blog updated regularly?
4.Who usually comments on my blogs?
Facebook would not be that interesting if it
were not for all your friends. In fact, the
more friends you have, the more content
you get. This also rings true for other
websites and blogs. It is now time for us to
create a collaborative ICT content.
WEB PORTALS
A web portal is a website that contains information from different sources
and places them in one location in a uniform way. An example of a web portal is
Yahoo! (www.yahoo.com). Yahoo.com offers a web portal where news, email,
weather, etc. are found in one page. The information found in the image came
from different websites/sources.
ONLINE COLLABORATIVE TOOLS
Working together does not necessarily mean you have to be physically together. These
tools can help your group ”go the distance” and work as if you already have your own office.
There are plenty of online collaborative tools:
1. You can use Facebook groups to create a group page that will allow people in your group
to communicate your ideas.
2. WordPress also allows you to multiple contributions for a single blog.
3. Google drive and Microsoft office online allow multiple people to work on different office
files and even have their own group’s cloud storage.
4. Microsoft’s Yammer offers companies to have their own social network that allows
sharing and managing content.
5. Sites like Trello offer an online to-do checklist for your entire team.
USING TRELLO FOR ONLINE
COLLABORATION

2. Once you have signed up and logged in, click on Create a New Organization
FOR STEPS 3-6. ONLY ONE PERSON SHOULD DO THIS,
PREFERABLY THE GROUP LEADER.
3. The Createa a New organization option will expland. Fill out the information with
the information of your group. Afterward, click Create.
4. You will be taken to the organization’s page. To add members, click on the
Members tab.
5. Click on the Add members button. Input a member’s Trello name or email
address or if the Team members has not signed up for Trello yet, you can
invite them just by simply adding their email. The will get an invitation which
will require them to sign up. Click SEND when done. Do this again until you
have sent an invitation for all members.

6. Once you are done inviting, go back to the Boards tab and under My Org
Boards, click on Create New Board.
SKILL EXPLORATION
CREATING A PORTAL USING JIMDO OR WORDPRESS

1. Inside the classroom, find a least four people you have mutual interest with.
2. Create a web portal using jimdo or word press including links to your different
blogs and posts.
3. Create a lost of tasks and use Trello to organize your tasks as a group and to
make sure that no task is left undone.
4. Design the web portal to fit your group’s interest. Alternatively, you can also
modify the individual blogs to make them more similar. Design graphics for
your portal and place them all your blogs to create a common identity to your
