CLE 7

CHARITY - Sept. 15 @ 8:0-0 a.m.

JOY - Sept. 24 & 25 @ 10:00 am
Lord Jesus, for too long I’ve kept you
out of my life. I know that I am a
sinner and that I cannot save myself.
No longer will I close the door when I
hear you knocking. By faith, I gratefully
receive your gift of salvation. I am
ready to trust you as my Lord and
Savior. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for
coming to earth. I believe you are the
Son of God who died on the cross for
my sins and rose from the dead on the
third day. Thank you for bearing my
sins and giving me the gift of eternal
life. I believe your words are true.
Come into my heart, Lord Jesus, and
be my Savior. Amen.

WHY DOES GOD CALL US TO PRAY?

Prayer strengthens and makes us certain in all things. All we need is fully trust and
believe that God will listen to us and grant our needs word, and God rewarded his
flike in the story of Abraham. He trusted God’s Faith.
HOW DID ABRAHAM, MOSES, AND DAVID
EXPRESS THEIR PRAYERS?

Abraham's Prayer for Sodom

(Genesis 18:16-33)
Moses' Intercession for Israel
(Exodus 32:9-14)

David's Prayer for Pardon and

Confession of Sin
(Psalm 51)
The TESTING OF ABRAHAM (Genesis 22: 1-18) - P. 18-19
God invites men to prayer that relationship may
flourish. Without prayer, it would be impossible
to know the will of God, and man would find
life burdensome and without any purpose.

This desire of God to build a loving relationship with

man has been consistent since the beginning of time.
He has been faithful even if at times, men would
sometimes reject Him. Those who firmly believe in the
unconditional love and faithfulness of God benefit in
the eternal life He is offering – a life which springs
from the fountain of prayer.
