Lesson Plan
By: Carina, Itzayana H. Wu Chia, Nataly R.
1. How did your group plan for and provide learning opportunities that
supported the students' intellectual, social, and personal development?
As a group we really tried incorporating every kind of learning style in every part of our
lesson this is because we know how important it is to let the kids learn in different ways. Its
an increase in engagement and active participation in the learning process, which in turn
increase student motivation, time on task, and retention times and improve cognitive
reasoning and the ability to see from others' perspectives. Its a ripple effect once you provide
those learning attitudes everything goes up from there your students intellect, social, and
personal development. We also made sure to incorporate activities to support our ELL
students and other students who learn differently. We used visuals auditory and kinesthetic
remember not all students learn the same.
2. How did your group create instructional opportunities that are adapted to
students with diverse backgrounds and exceptionalities
As a group we tried to focus on those students who struggle with learning, who
speak English as a second language, and have trouble focusing. We tried to focus
on active learning by doing group lessons, group discussions, and group students
heterogeneously during group work. When grouping students heterogeneously we
are able to create differential instructional plan and include hands-on
manipulatives which allowed the students to demonstrate their skills. We also took
the approach of inquiry based learning, where students were able to explore the
materials where they could ask questions and share ideas.
3. How did your group plan and use variety of instructional strategies to
encourage student development of critical thinking, problem solving, &
performance skills for all students, incoulding EL, Special Needs and other
identified students learning needs?
For students who need specials needs and other identified students for learning needs,
teachers will use real objects, fixed visual displays, use spoken language to state
problems, use words or symbols to present problems. In terms of response methods:
use operational responses, provide answer choices, use oral responses, and use
words or symbols to characterize.
4. How did your groups plan and create a learning environment that
encourage positive social interaction, active engagement in learning, & self-
motivation?
We will properly create the class environment and atmosphere, so that students
feel that the psychological environment of learning is safe, and the material
environment is also relaxed and comfortable. The teaching need to be interesting
and closely related to life, so that students have a sense of joy and participation.
Teacher will ask questions about the content of the course, encourage students to
actively participate in discussions. Teachers will design activities or assignments
that meet students' interests, so that students have practical opportunities to
practice and apply the knowledge they have learned. Teachers need to design
interesting lesson plan, including visual, auditory and other sensory things to
create changes, so as to help arouse, guide, and maintain students’ attention.
5. How did your group plan and manage instruction based upon knowledge
of subject matter, students, the community, and curriculum goals?
