on the Mental
Health of the User
Introduction
 The selfie, a kind of self-portraiture usually created using smartphones or
webcams and shared on social networks, has rapidly risen into the common visual
vernacular and appears to accent a culture dependent on itself.

 Selfies became extraordinarily fashionable and it's nearly not possible to go to any

social media web site while not seeing our friends’ faces in close-up. A selfie may
be a portrait photograph of oneself (or of oneself and different people), smitten a
(phone) camera control at arm’s length or pointed at a
mirror, that's typically shared through social media.

 A common definition now used in the academic literature is taken from the Oxford
English Dictionary which describes the selfie as ‘A photograph that one has taken
of oneself, typically one taken with a smartphone or webcam and shared via social
media’.

The number of comments determines the

views. Individuals lean toward others to see and approve them as they see
themselves. Individuals look for self-confirmation to rest easy thinking about
themselves. By getting self-check, people guarantee that their convictions about
themselves are reasonable, and, along these lines, they can foresee and practice
some authority over their lives results (Chen). When people get self-confirming
input inside a gathering, sentiments that one is acknowledged and esteemed by
others inside the gathering expands worth-based confidence (Bradford, and
