Types of injury

• they are devided in to 3 categories :
• simple or slight injury : which heals in less than 20 days
• dangerous injury : which needs more than 20 days for healing and
could leave perminant infirmity
• leads to death injury : directly leads to death
simple or slight injury
• contusion : which is devided in more detailed categories , and in
generally it is extravasation of blood in to tissues
• incised inury : it could be penetrating wound or cut wound
• lacerated wound : which made by blunt object
• abrasion : grazes or scratches
Abrasion
• An abrasion is the most superficial of injuries and, in the most
restrictive of definitions, is one that does not enetrate the full
thickness of the epidermis.
• its devided into 2 categories

sliding pressure
grazes scratches impact of an object to skin
superfacial injury to skin has a pattern
lacerated wound
• done by blunt object such as stone or brick
• it has irregular edges
• the hair folicules is crushed on the edges of wound
• it has bridging between the 2 edges
• could have contusion arround the wound
• it is contaminated wound due to forign bodies easyly found in wound
incised wound
• clean cut on the skin
• regular edges
• has no bridging between the edges
• easyly bleeds and not contaminated
• done by sharp object
• the length is more than the deepth
stab wound
• deepth more than the width
• done by sharp and rough object
• it is more dangerous than incised wound
