Continuous sugar dissolving
The system can be designed either for cold/warm dissolving or as hot dissolving unit:
Cold/warm dissolving
In this case, the dissolving water is preheated to max. 90°C. Depending on the sugar temperature, the
dissolving temperature is Water
approx. 50°C.
In order to achieve higher syrup outlet temperatures (e.g. for a downstream flash pasteurizer)
a plate heat exchanger can be added.
III. DISSOLVING TEMPERATURES
Hot-dissolving
For hot-dissolving of sugar syrup over 68° Brix, an additional counter current heat exchanger is
integrated. In this case a dissolving water temperature of 80-85°C is reached.
Water
1 Base frame made out of stainless steel AISI 304 with adjustable calotte feet and bottom plate for
accommodation of all machine parts,
1 pneumatical controlled sugar shut-off valve,
1 dissolving tank, equipped with integrated water supply, cleaning spray ball, Jet Mix-nozzle, necessary level
probes, temperature transmitters,
Waterfittings and valves,
1 High capacity circulating and dissolving pump, cpl. with actuator directly skid-mounted,
Separation chamber(s) with sieve inserts (slit width 0,3 mm), manometers, deaeration, bypass line and all
valves,
Separation chamber(s) in quick closing design for the cleaning of sieve inserts,
1 flow control unit for dissolving water cpl. with pneumatical control valve,
1 flow control unit for product, incl. pneumatical control valve,
1 internal piping for dissolving water and final product from the infeed up to the product outlet,
1 laser refractometer for measuring the Brix value,
1 control cabinet with Industrial PC for the accomodation of the microprocessor type SIEMENS S7 and the
complete measuring and control units incl. necessary display and monitoring elements as well as all electrical and
pneumatical drives, control cabinet completely internally wired ready-to-connect, protection type IP 54, splash-
proof.
