Patent - is the granting of a property right by a sovereign authority to an inventor TRADEMARK - is a type of intellectual property consisting of a recognizable sign, design, or expression which identifies products or services of a particular source from those of others, although trademarks used to identify services are usually called service marks PLAGIARISM - the practice of taking someone else's work or ideas and passing them off as one's own. NETIQUETTE - the correct or acceptable way of communicating on the internet. GUIDELINES TO REMEMBER AS AN INTERNET USER WITH NETIQUTTE 1.Observe politeness when responding to or sending messages. 2.When you receive a messages, especially if it from your superior at work or client, it would be polite to reply urgently. 3.Review first the intended message before sending it so that you can be sure that it is the exact message that you want to convey. 4.As a sign of respect, do not send spam or chain messages to your list of contacts. 5.Ask permission first before sharing someone’s personal post, photo, and video on social media, as this could violate the person’s right to privacy. DIGITAL DIVIDE - is a term that refers to the gap between demographics and regions that have access to modern information and communications technology, and those that don't or have restricted access VIRTUAL SELF – pertains to one’s representation in the virtual world, which exist online and is only available once a person is connected to internet.
