Introduction
 KFC (Kentucky fried chicken) is well-known American fast
food restaurant chain.

 World’s second largest restaurant chain after McDonald’s.

 22,621 branches in 150 countries.

 KFC offers mainly chicken products like chicken fillet


sandwiches, etc,.
Problem & Background
 In October 2017, KFC decided to switch suppliers from
Bidvest to DHL
 DHL opened new distribution center at Rugby, UK.
 On 14 February 2018, the supply chain disrupted
 Chicken wasn’t shipped to many stores in UK(Operational
issues)
 18 February, Approx. 650 out of 900 restaurant were
closed,
 Many stores cut their working hours, (limited menu’s)
 Supply chain Problem persisted for 3 weeks
