Then we won.

Exploded paragraph:
I bent my knees and held the ball loosely. Letting the ball bounce
on the floor once more, I gathered my thoughts. This was the
moment. My right arm extended as I released the ball with a gentle
flick. It rotated slightly as it arched toward the rim. I held my
breath. The ball nudged the back rim, falling through the net with a
gentle, satisfying swish. And the crowd exploded from their seats.

Original Sentence: The substitute teacher was angry.
Exploded paragraph:

Write your paragraph here: The second we stepped into the classroom we saw the substitute teacher
who was angry. She claimed to have not had her morning coffee, but we all knew it had to be
something else. You could sense the anger as she slammed the work for today onto the table in front
of her. We all flinched as the noise was loud. Her loud voice and the sound of her heels echoed the
classroom walls around us as she walked back and forth checking our work. The second the bell
rang we all breathed out a breath of relief as we walked out quickly and away from the angry
substitute teacher.

Write your paragraph here: I saw on kid get up and throw food or something at another kid starting a food fight,
the taste of the chicken against my lip brought back memories. They started yelling really loud at each other
while cheese from the pizza slapped his face. It was all going wild until a teacher finally came in and stopped the
whole thing.

As we saw the grey clouds approaching us lightly dropping water, and feeling the coldness of the rain. We start
running! As the clouds get darker and faster with LOUD thunder striking everywhere. With slippery shoes and
squeaky floors, slipped and tripped over mud.

Original Sentence: Speaking in front of an audience makes me
nervous.
Exploded paragraph:
The crowd loomed ahead of me. I felt my breath bubbling in my throat and my hand getting clammy. I was aware
of every set of eyes on me. I slowly walked up on the stage hearing every step echo on the wooden floor. I then
began reciting my script slipping into character.

Original Sentence: The last five minutes of school were boring.
Exploded paragraph:
As I sit in my chair, I look up at the clock to realize that there are five minutes of class left. I put my head on my
desk and it feels like an eternity. I was thinking and thinking about stuff outside of school. I was ready to be
released from class but… 1 minute felt like an hour, 2 minutes felt like 2 hours, 3 minutes felt like 3 hours etc…
“Once it hits 4 pm I’ll be out” is what I thought to myself. When the clock finally hit 4 pm I ran out of the room,
not giving a single care about class.What I thought to myself once I was out was “ I'm free”.
