What is Text
Evidence?
Evidence is essentially proof. It’s a fact that help you
know that something is true. Text evidence is simply
using the examples (such quotation, remarks, numbers,
facts etc.) as proof that can be seen in the text. It is
important because it gives your words validity and
strength, proving that you did, in fact, read and
understand that text for yourself.

Research
Textual evidence only uses facts to make its point.
Without text evidence you are making empty
claims without any support to back them up. This
makes you come across as an unreliable writer,
because you don’t have any proof that what
you’re saying is a valid interpretation.
