Belarus is situated in the center
of Europe.
The area is 207,600 sq.km.
The population is about 10 mln
people.
The capital of the country is
Minsk.
Belarus is made up of 6 regions.
Each region has its own capital.
(Vitsebsk, Mogilev, Gomel,
Brest, Grodno and Minsk).
Landscape.
The landscape is mostly flat, but is never
boring, as forests make up a third of
the territory of Belarus. There are
hundreds of gorgeous rivers and lakes
in the country.
Climate.
Belarus has one climate –
continental – with cold
winters and warm and
sometimes hot summers.
