• A sales person is involved directly in the sales
activity, he/she is the one who interacts with
the customer.
• E.g. sales person at a automobile dealership
 Types of sales persons
• Order taker: order takers are those types of
sales persons who take orders and pass it on
to the concerned people in the organization.
• Order getters: order getters are the type of
sales persons who go into the territory to
meet customers and get orders from them
 Types of sales persons
• Missionary sales persons: these are the type
of sales persons who would meet the
customers and explain them the deal without
closing it. The deal would be closed by some
other person from the company.
