• It is the separation technique used to

separate magnetic materials from non
magnetic materials. Remember that, all
metals exist in the world are not
magnetic.
 EXPERIMENT OF MAGNETIC ATTRACTION

• Mix two dishes of sand & iron fillings

together.

• Place a magnet over the mixture of

sand & iron fillings.

• The iron fillings are attracted to the

magnet. Sand is not attracted to the
magnet and remains in the dish.
