• When someone is involve into a group of people who is having discussion together.

• A group which was organized by the students or the committe.

WHY DISCUSSION IS SIGNIFICANT?


• To share ideas,opinion or evaluate thinking skills,listening abilities and thoughts.
• To deliver messages or explaination.
• To devide tasks precisely.

ROLE OF PARTICIPANTS IN A GD
• Starting point : There will be some member who like to initiate.The one who is confident
enough to start the discussion and set the tone.

• Clear facts : Few members of the group will be data driven.They provide precise data and facts
and support their statement with statistic.

• Controller : Some members in the group like to control the discussion.They think whatever
they are saying should be approved.

• Born Leaders : They are born to lead.They have the ability to manage the flow.They also
summarize the entire discussion and squeeze out the conclusion.

• Question Mark : Kind of people ,always question others.

• Aggressive : Easily get annoyed and get antagonistic at time. They care less.
CONCLUDING THE GD

• Summarise all the points

-The best way to conclude is to summarise all the points that you have discussed in brief and
present your final take on the subject being discussed.

• Be concise

-Make sure that you don’t drag your conclusion.Keep it as short as possible and try to mention
the points clearly.

• Closure Argument

-Make the closure arount the main idea of the topic and be direct
