CONSULTATION WITH CLIENT
 

TIPS FOR FOOT SPA CONSULTATION RECORDING:


 

• Review - the form that your client has filled out. And feel free to make comments to break the ice and get
the consultation going on.
 
• Assess - your clients’ current foot condition. Too tired? Have been standing all day? Wearing
shoes/rubber shoes all day?
 
• Preference - ask your client the type of scrub to use and type of manage after the spa. Is it hard or soft?
 
• Analyze - assess your client’s skin and foot condition. No Skin disease. No foot allergies. No impairment.
 
• Lifestyle - ask your client about their lifestyle, doing fieldwork, sitting inside office, or free to move
anytime.
 
• Upkeep – Counsel every client on the salon maintenance lifestyle limitations and home maintenance that
she will need to commit in order to have a good looking, refreshed and relaxed feet.

• Some nail diseases that hampers the


application of foot spa are described below:
• Onychocryptosis-or ingrown nails can affect
• Onycholysis-the lifting of the nail plate from
the bed inrithcent shedding
• Tivea Pedis-Medical form for fungal infection
of the feet
• Onychia-Fungal infection of the nail plate

Supplies and materials


• Foot Towels - Be sure to use a clean towel for the client
• Service Gown - Used by cosmologist during & the spa service
for easy hand movements and protection from spillage.
Tools and equipment
• Portable Foot basin- This unit has a built in, motorized action
that can be filled from the sink. The gentle massaging action
of the whirlpool holds an extra touch to the service. They
also has a built in foot rests and areas for storing foot spa
materials. After the service they are drained by pumping the
water leach into the sink drain.
Tool
• Foot files (paddles) are longer that those designed for fingernails and toe
nails. These large sanding files are designed to reduce dry, flaky skin and
smooth calluses. They come in many grit and shapes. Foot files must be
properly cleaned and disinfected between every use of dispensed of after a
simple use if the manufacturer has designed them to be disinfectable.
• In general, if an abrasive file cannot service proper cleaning and disinfection
procedures w/out being rendered unusable, it must be considered
disposable. Foot paddles w/ disposable and replaceable abrasive surfaces are
also available
• Foot Stool used by cosmologist while doing the spa service, it can also be
used as foot rest of the client.
• Portable Cart- a useful way to keep your supplies organized. It has drawers
and shelves for organized storing of implements and spa products. Some
units have portable vats, and some are designed to be compact so that they
take up very little space.
 

 
Products

• Foot soak- Products used in foot spa to soften the skin. A good soak must contain a gentle out
effective soap to thoroughly clean and deodorize feet. Red sea salt which is often formed in
foot soak products contains many types of salt including sodium, calcium and magnesium salts.
Professionally formulated products are recommended because they are designed to properly
cleanse the foot w/out being overly harsh to the skin. Often ingredients may include natural oils
used for the rest of the foot spa so be sure to use a high quality product and start your spa
review on a positive note.
• Abrasive sands -0are used to help remove and smooth dry flaky skin and calluses. They are
usually cream or lotion that contains an abrasive powder as the exfoliating agent. These are
used to remove dry, flaky skin and make it feeling smoother and more moisturized. Avoid
excessive or abrasive scrubs since they can damage the client’s skin. Abrasive scrubs can also
remove living skin from the hand of the cosmologist if the product is used many times during a
short period of time.
• Massage preparations  – consists of oils creams and lotions used to lubricate, moisturize and
invigorate the skin. They allow the hand of the cosmologist to slide soothingly mend the skin
during the massage part of the foot spa. They also promote against feeling of relation and well
being in the client. Most quality massage oils are a blend of therapentin oil, which promote
skin health. Aromatherapy oils may also be incorporated for their relaxing and calming effects.
Tea tree oil is often included for its antiseptic properties as well as its medical fragrance.
Add-on Products.
• Callus softeners -Products used to enhance and expedite the foot spa
experience. They help soften and smooth calluses, especially on heeds and
ones pressure points there products are applied directly to the calluses and
allowed to soak in for a short period of time to soften the hard tissue,
making them easier to consume with abrasive boards, blender, or paddles.
These products usually contain either sodium hydroxide or lactic acid both
powerful callus - softening agents. Sodium hydroxide is highly alkaline
(usually PH 12 or higher) lactic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid which are acidic
(usually ph 4 or less). In both uses it is important to read and understand
manufacturer’s instructions and use the product exactly as directed.
• Mazques-are usually composed of mineral clays moisturizing agents, skin
softeners , aromatherapy oils, and beneficial extracts. They are applied to
the skin and left in place for 5 minutes. there skin treatments are typically
highly valued by clients.
• Foot Blusha finishing spa product to make the sole of the feet pinkish. Apply
only if required by the client.
 
ELECTRICAL MASSAGE FOOT BASIN

Functions/Description
•  Vibrating massage 
Thousand of massage extruders are designed at the bottom of the foot
basin. Upon starting up, it enters high frequency vibrating. At this
time, you can put in the basin and the extruders of the basin will
stimulate the acupuncture points of your foot. It aims to promote
blood circulation, improving sleep quality and removing fatigue to
human body. 
• Bubble impact
The bubble groove of Electrical Foot Spa can produce large number of air

Operating Instructions

PROCEDURES:
• Pour water on the machine above the massage balls. It will not start without water.
• Put the machine on flat surface.
• Check if the switch is at O’ position before plugging. Make sure that the water doesn’t
exceed the “maximum” calibration lines.
